Jude Robinson

Biography

A lifelong Labour supporter, I joined the Labour Party in 1989 and have not stopped campaigning since. I was born in Hull and have lived in several places but have regarded Cornwall as my home since moving to the county in 1982.

My three children were born in Cornwall and the youngest is now at university in the county – something that was not possible when he was born in 1989.

I have a degree in English Literature and also studied politics and sociology at Sussex University. Since returning to employment after my children (after the demise of the Tory government and the end of the years of mass unemployment and no childcare!) I have worked for three Labour MPs, in the constituency and at Westminster. I have also served as a School Governor, a District and Town Councillor and a Probation Board member.

I am happily married to Steve, who is as enthusiastic about campaigning for Labour as I am. Currently, I work for a national charity in the South West and spend most of my spare time campaigning in Camborne, Redruth and Hayle.
