Gen Wark

Gen Wark is one of 2 Labour candidates for NORTH PETHERTON in the Unitary elections of May 5th 2022

Gen   is an Advocate in Social Work and has lived in North Petherton for the last 10 years. She has 3 daughters who go to school locally. Gen is passionate about the needs of the local community. As a councillor, she would fight to make local services more accessible for vulnerable people, as well as support local youth and mental health services. Gen would like to help local businesses network with each other so they can collaborate and share ideas. She would love to see more local community groups for new parents with babies and other residents.

Gen says “If elected I would campaign for better access to services in this area and uphold people’s voices in the decision-making processes which they often get left out of. One of the biggest challenges for North Petherton community is the lack of youth facilities and the failure to provide the proper infrastructure when these estates were built. This is a great place to live but we can make it better!”
