Kathy  was active in the campaign to try to save the Splash and says “I have always lived in the town and remember a time when Bridgwater was a vibrant Market town with a variety of both National chains and independent shops. Labour councillors have spoken out strongly against the Tesco proposal on Northgate because we believe it is the wrong way forward We do not need yet another supermarket in the town and fear that, far from regenerating the town, it will lead to a further shop closures.”
