Kathy Pearce


Kathy is Deputy Leader of Bridgwater Town Council and the Chair of the Sedgemoor District Council Community Scrutiny Committee.In 2010 Kathy was the Labour Parliamentary Candidate for Bridgwater and West Somerset. She is Deputy Leader of Bridgwater Town Council and the portfolio Holder for Community.

Kathy was born in Bridgwater and lives in Westover Ward.  She has been a District Councillor for 20 years and Bridgwater Town Councillor for the last 4 years.

During that time, she has worked with many individual residents and groups to address concerns and to progress projects and activities. She is especially interested in the environment, green spaces, our waterways and improving opportunities for everyone.

Kathy believes it’s vital that the massive Hinkley C and tidal barrier developments coming to the area benefit the local community, and help us revitalise Bridgwater and its surroundings.

While there are many challenges to face, Kathy remains as committed as ever to working to achieve the best for Bridgwater.
