Tony lives in the town centre with his family. Raised in a close working class family Tony has always held to Labour values of fairness, equality of opportunity, investment in public services, particularly in the NHS, and in the general principle that a healthy society will always act to protect its poorest and most vulnerable citizens.

He has experienced at first hand the lack of accountability in County Hall and has successfully fought the County Council through the Local Government Ombudsman. Tony also helped in the establishment of residents’ parking in Bridgwater, acting as area champion for local residents.

Tony says “As austerity continues to hit the living standards of ordinary working people, I pledge to work hard for the residents and businesses of Bridgwater West, in what promises to be a challenging time for everyone. While the decision on Hinkley Point will bring lots of benefits to the town, we must be ready to fight to protect the interests of Bridgwater people, to ensure that the negative impact on local communities is kept to an absolute minimum.”
