Terry Ledlie Labour Candidate for Yeovil East. Says “Whilst the Lib Dems say that Labour can’t win in Yeovil, this theory is based on people not voting”. Terry believes that if Labour voters come out in force in May then a major upset could be on the cards in Yeovil East.
Terry continued “By now most people would have received the Lib Dem Leaflet displaying the ‘How you voted last time’! Based on the 2013 County Council Election results whilst cleverly omitting the fact that in Yeovil East turnout was only 27%. Whilst both the Tory Run County Council and Lib Dem County Council both blaming each other for bringing Yeovil to a standstill, Local Labour candidates can’t be blamed for the current traffic problems and Terry also believes that until Yeovil remove the through traffic and address the housing growth there will always problems with in the rapidly growing town of Yeovil. “
It’s Time for Change
Terry says that “It’s time for Change”. Terry believes that as soon as the election is over the debate must start on solving the current traffic problems in Yeovil, whether that be a By-pass or a park and ride scheme. Terry goes on to say “Whilst the policy is to get people off the roads and walking or to use public transport, with the austerity measures that have been put in place by the past councils there is no other alternative to support this. Labour can win in Yeovil; turnout is key and Labour councillors will deliver change.”
