Across the Avon and Somerset area there are elections today for the role of Police and Crime Commissioner. This post has only had two previous occupants – an independent and now a Tory. The last time round Labour came second and this time with the large swing in the polls we can win. CLARE MOODY is the Labour candidate. Polling stations are open from 7am until 10pm. There are just 4 candidates -Tory, Labour, Lib Dem and Green. The challenge for Labour (and for democracy) is TURNOUT…please get out and vote and don’t let someone else cast your vote for you by you staying away!
