New NHS data shows 55,007 waiting in Somerset!

Somerset Labour Leader Cllr Leigh Redman (Bridgwater North Central) demonstrates the rise of waiting lists under the Tories

We have yet another record high on NHS Waiting Lists. 7.7m are now waiting for care. Labours Shadow Health minister Wes Streeting MP Said “For millions of patients, the NHS is no longer there for them when they need it. “Rishi Sunak is Inaction Man, refusing to meet with doctors to end NHS strikes and adding to the Tories’ NHS backlog. “It will take Labour – the Party of the NHS – to restore it to good health.” Responding to the latest record NHS Waiting Lists figures published today – with 55,007 people waiting for care at Somerset NHS Foundation trust, Somerset Labour’s Cllr Leigh Redman said “The longer the Conservatives are in power, the longer people in Somerset will wait for care. After 13 long years of Tory rule our local public services are on their knees. 55,007 are stuck on the waiting list at Somerset NHS Foundation trust. That means pain, anxiety and lives put on hold. “It is well past time for change – and Labour has a plan to get our NHS back on its feet. We would make building an NHS fit for the future a central mission of the next Labour Government, starting with one of the greatest workforce expansions our health service has ever seen – fully funded by scrapping the non-dom status.”
